Montgomery–Åsberg Depression Rating Scale

A ten-item clinician-rated scale focused on the core psychological symptoms of depression, scored 0–60. Each item is anchored at 0, 2, 4, and 6; intermediate odd values may be used. Especially sensitive to change with treatment.

For use by qualified clinicians as a decision-support aid. Scores support but do not replace clinical judgment. This is not a diagnostic instrument and no information is stored or transmitted.

Rate each item based on a clinical interview covering the past week. Anchors are defined at even values; use odd values for intermediate presentations.
